- "March is blistery and boisterous, Never quiet nor inert, Swaggers in and out with gusto - March is just an extravert." -- Thelma Ireland
As I write this, we are two dawns away from it being MAY! That means I will be here at the keyboard again VERY SOON! But this long absence has been filled will a l kinds of LIFE and so many memories. I am woefully behind, and I have no one to blame... But MAN! That downhill slalom between Spring Break and the end of the school year NEVER gets easier! March was a blur and April came in right on her heels - with all the THINGS we do as a family keep us me from writing it all down. But here I am now! To recount the crazy month of March - and all its ups and downs.
And true to who we are, it starts with Basketball. Area Champions! STATE BOUND!!!!!
We had a fun State Send Off for the team:
Finn and his first Choir Concert of the term:
We made it to Semi Finals!
AND THE FINALS!
Brothers make Besties! |
Didn't end the way we expected, and definitely not the way we wanted it to. But is was such an amazing ride... Next up AAU and Summer ball - Off to Arkansas!
Finn had a busy month with Oral Surgeon and orthodontic appts.
Spring/Summer LOADING...
And the extent of my Spring Break
Back to NWA to pick up Jake - but we had a little fun on this trip as well
Finn's NEXT choir concert!
Jake was at the soccer game across the parking lot while we were at the concert - but we were back together for some Chick-fil-A! |
I assumed a NEW position:
And then we had our first AAU weekend in Norman with AAO Flight Pro 16 17U:
And I know it will come as no surprise. MORE BASKETBALL TO COME! And more choir concerts, and more dental updates for Finn.
And in between the crazy, I managed to squeeze in a few books.
"The Unmasking of June Farrow" by Adrienne Young (Women of Guthrie Book Club Choice)
"Maggie Moves On" by Lucy Score
"After I Do" by Taylor Jenkins Reid (Hidden Oaks Book Club Choice
"This American Ex-Wife: How I ended my Marriage and Started My Life" by Lyz Lenz
Still on track for my GoodReads 2024 Reading challenge goals! March was a little slower; April isn't looking much better. Good thing the year started off STRONG!
