Six Dream Weavers: March 2026

"In February, there is everything to hope for and nothing to regret." -- Patience Strong

Oh, February. Short and sweet. Less dramatic than January for sure. And several SWEEEEEEET moments thrown in. Love, joy, pride, and renewal -- all themes of the month.

Quiet moments. LOUD moments. Grounded moments and memorable moments. It flew by, and I tried to soak it all in.

Started by getting out of my comfort zone - personally - and doing something for myself (with the support of my family) and ended with a few quiet days and a promise of Spring on thehorizon.

My data brain is really happy about the fact that the 28-day month started on a Sunday and filled exactly 4 full weeks on the calendar grid. That's satisfying.

The best news is that Britt is on the mend, following all of his doctor's orders, and all of his numbers are trending in the right direction. We have both learned so much, and I am so proud of his diligence, dedication, and determination to do better and to get better. We are in this together!

And here are the highlights!

February 1 - 7

February 1, I hosted the inaugural neighborhood book club in my home. On the surface, it was about books. In reality, it was about something deeper: connection.

During introductions, nearly every person referenced community or neighborhood. No prompting. Just a shared recognition that meaningful connection doesn’t happen by accident—it happens when someone creates space for it.

This moment landed in the middle of a significant season of change for me. An almost empty nest. A recent family health crisis recalibrated priorities overnight. The ongoing work of showing up fully, both at home and at work, even when the ground feels less steady than usual.

And yet, these challenges are precisely what get me up, dressed up, and showing up every day. They’ve sharpened my sense of purpose, strengthened my empathy, and reinforced my belief that leadership—formal or informal—is about presence, consistency, and choosing to engage, even when it’s hard.

My one word for 2026 is connecting. That night felt like the first tangible chapter of that intention—proof that small, intentional acts can build real momentum.

We’re excited to start our first group read and gather again in February. Grateful for good people, thoughtful conversation, and the reminder that connection is not a distraction from meaningful work—it’s often the foundation of it.

We enrolled Finn for HIGH SCHOOL, worked on my embroidery skills, watched a lot of basketball, took Britt to his first cardiology follow-up appointment, got proof of life pics from the boys, and wrapped up the week with a trip to Salina, Kansas and Kansas Wesleyan University to play against Jake's bestie!

I also spent WAAAAY too long getting a new video doorbell installed. One problem was the screwes were stripped on the old doorbell button on the outside of the house and I had to get someone with a stronger drill to drill them out for me. The, the Roku instructoins wereBAD, and I had to use the 14-year-old and Chat GPT to get through the installation... BUT I DID IT! 😤

February 8-14

Finn started with a new dentist. I learned some more embroidery skills. Jake had a hell of a game that included a game-winning dunk at the very end at the buzzer, and then Valentine's Day weekend happened ...

My boss had an impromptu adventure for me, and I was able to bring Britt and Finn along for the ride. We left after everybody got home from work and school on Friday and drove down to the DFW Metroplex. We stayed in Frisco Friday night, and then headed to Murphy, Texas, the next day so I could record some video for some marketing opportunities with my job.

In the meantime, Emma and Parker went out on a fancy date, and he proposed! Emma got engaged while I was in a hotel in Texas. 😂

Got up Saturday morning when we made it to Murphy, Texas. Took a turn on Betsy Lane so I could go do Betsey things! We met with a marketing expert who filmed a couple of hours of video of me talking about various things about my job and my company. There was a costume change, and it was exhausting, but it was also exhilarating. He also took a mandatory Valentine's Day pic of Britt and me.

We also had Finn snap this gorgeous picture of us in front of our Hotel - this is our official 20th wedding anniversary portrait! GOOD JOB, FINN!!!!

Because of the pouring, torrential rain, we drove to Britt's nephew and niece's house to hold their new baby and to wait out the storm before we could drive home. Of course, no trip to Texas is complete without a stop at Buc-ee's, and we made it home just in time to watch Jake's basketball game on TV while I sported my new Buc-ee's cap! Oh, and Emma dropped more engagement ring pictures.

And, JACK He got new toys from Buc-ee's! (H has 1,000,000 toys and loves every single one of them!)

February 15-21

I finished my latest embroidery project, Jake was able to meet up with Avery in Stillwater for an evening when the Utes came to Stillwater for their game, and then Dad, Finn and I got to go to the GAME on Monday! We even got ot have dinner with Avery's Dad!

NEXT UP! Jake was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week!

And I got a little shout-out on the Job Chat!

My highlight of the week was my visit to a new doctor. I am so excited for the next steps in my health journey!

NEXT - I had to finish up an embroidery project because I had to wear it to Tabor!

February 12-28

Pretty calm last week ofthe month. But in usual Weaver fashion - it was not boring... I started a new embroidery project. Finn was named to the EPS Middle School Honor Roll for having straight A's for one solid year (Spring 2025 and Fall 2025), JAKE WAS NAMED TO THE KCAC ALL FRESHMAN TEAM (!!!), I worked more on my embroidery projects - and finished it, and it was Hawaiian day at work, but it was cold in my office... ;)

And, Jack, of course...

And at the end of every post... It is "Book Review time..." February was better! Not great, but better. Although I did get 3 sewing projects done, and I started a new one... :) 2 books, 884 pages...
