The One Where Finn Needed Lots of Babysitters

March 29-31, 2019

We have reached "that time of year."  Everyone is so busy.  SO SO busy - busier than our normal busy.  And it shows.  Because I totally forgot to blog this week.  Partly because I am so busy, and partly because I did not see any of Emma and very little of Lara last weekend due to being out of state with Jake and basketball.  So, here is a quick recap of what I know, apologies for being so tardy in reporting it!

Lara had kind of a big job this weekend.  She was in charge of Finn (and Evie!).  All weekend.  Neither one of them were traveling to Arkansas with us; Lara had baseball commitments and Finn didn't want to go.  So we decided we would try this out.  It started with her picking Finn up from school on Friday afternoon.  Which, due to a pep rally and "pep rally schedule" she basically had to sneak out of.  When we made our plans, she was not aware of the pep rally...  OOPS.  Anyway - she had him with her at baseball pre-game, until Emma showed up to take him on a coke date.  The whole family stayed for the game, then Lara took Finn home for their first night alone in the house.

Emma stopped by the house to let Evie out on her way to rescue Finn
Saturday, Lara and Finn had plans to go to a SMAC garage sale, but they arrived too late.  But then. Finn had an appointment for a haircut, so Lara took him to Everyman to get this handsome 'do!

Emma had stayed at Nana's the night before, so they all 4 met up for lunch. I think maybe the girls' friend Sarah was there as well, but I am fuzzy on that.

Saturday night, Lara got a last-minute babysitting gig and pawned Finn off on Nana.  Emma and Sarah went to Ponca City to a rodeo, then spent the night in Perkins at Nana's house.  After Lara was done babysitting, Erika came over to spend the night and keep Lara company.

Lara also had to deal with destructo dog tearing up her toys

Sunday morning, Nana brought Finn home, and then they all waited for us to get back from Arkansas.  We got home from Little Rock early in the evening, ordered pizza, and tried to regroup for the next busy week to start.  Spring has SPRUNG!
