"In March, April is a moment of joy for those who have survived the winter." - Samuel Johnson
April was pretty smooth. We got to see Jake, school, and work were moving along quite nicely, and we had visited a new church in late March and were looking forward to Easter there. The calendar was light, and the days were pretty easy. We had some sprng time Oklajoma weather roll through, but we fared pretty well here in Edmond. Overall, it was a good month, but as always, there were bumps in the road. Most notably, Avery and Jake broke up mid-month after celebrating 11 months together. We weathered that storm as a family and are so proud of how Jake handled it all. And in true Weaver fashion, there were suproses as well... Here are the highlights!
Week 1: April 1-4
Basically. Jake came home for a concert with Avery. And Finn and I went to the same one. Jack got a haircut and did Jack things!
Week 2: April 5-11
SHHHHHHHHHHHH! It was so quiet... So here are some pics of Easter, Jack, as well as Mom and Dad Date Night to see Mary Poppins at Edmnd Norht - it was PHENOMENAL!
Week 3: April 12-18
Still a pretty chill week! The surprise started this week, and required Jack to orient to a new daycare due to my regular one not being available on a day we needed it. We took a trip down Route 66 to the new "Midpoint" in Wellston this weekend, then Britt, Finn, and I went to a funeral in Enid on Friday.

Week 4: April 19-25
NOW! The real fun began! Jake had been offered an official visit to Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri, to meet the basketball staff, tour the campus, and receive a scholarship offer to play D2 basketball there. Monday and Tuesday of this week were his official visit. This all came about in such a whirlwind way, and we took every advantage. Spoiler alert - he signed with them after the visit and got a full-ride scholarship! He will be majoring in International and Political Affairs / Pre-Law and plans to go to law school in the future. And play some AMAZING MIAAI D2 basketball along the way. Then, at the end of the week, I got to help Britt chaperone prom for his kids at the Oklahoma History Museum! What a week!

Week 5: April 26-30
All the graphics! And another pretty quiet week. Jake got home from college for the summer on Thursday night - let the adjustment begin!
